Happy New Year 2026
We extend our heartfelt wishes for your health and happiness in this new year of 2026.
Since our founding in 1979, Commonwealth Engineers Co., Ltd. has specialized in civil and architectural design for the construction of power plants, petrochemical plants, cement plants, LNG plants, steel plants, and more.
This year as well, we will continue to serve as “a trusted partner in plant design and construction”, staying close to our clients and working diligently to improve our technical capabilities and service quality.
Looking Back at 2025
Involved in Various Projects
Thanks to the warm support and cooperation from all of you last year, we were able to be involved in various projects. In particular, we have accumulated achievements in civil and architectural design for plant construction, both domestically and internationally, and have been able to further deepen trust within the industry.
Initiatives for Nurturing Next-Generation Engineers
2025 was a year in which we also focused on nurturing the next generation of engineers. We actively conducted educational outreach classes and internship programs for high school and technical college students, creating opportunities for the younger generation to experience the appeal of plant design.
Educational Outreach Activities
| Date | School | Theme |
|---|---|---|
| April 22, 2025 | Kanagawa Prefectural Isogo Technical High School | “Design of Superstructure” in Steel Frame Construction |
| June 10, 2025 | Kanagawa Prefectural Fujisawa Technical High School | “Member Study in Truss Structures” |
Kanagawa Prefectural Isogo Technical High School (April 22)
Through practical structural calculation exercises, students experienced how the knowledge they learn in school is applied in actual architectural design. They had the opportunity to experience real-world work through calculations performed in actual business operations.
Kanagawa Prefectural Fujisawa Technical High School (June 10)
With young engineers taking the lead, students experienced everything from the basics of structural mechanics to practical applications. Through truss structures, as an opportunity to touch on the fundamentals of structural design, students experienced “how what they are learning now will be utilized in their future work.”
Internship Programs
| Date | Participants | Theme/Content |
|---|---|---|
| July 28-30, 2025 | 2 students from Isogo Technical High School | 3-day plant design experience program |
| August 14, 2025 | General students | Internship recruitment announcement |
| December 2025 | Students from Chiba Nikkatsu Technical College | 2-day practical CAD internship |
Isogo Technical High School (July 28-30)
Under the theme “Opening the Door to Structural Design in Plant Facilities,” we conducted actual facility tours and simulated design work experiences. Through creating 3D models using Revit and visiting the Isogo Thermal Power Plant, students experienced the reality of plant design. On the second day, they visited massive pipes, turbines, and plant buildings up close, directly confirming the link between drawings and actual structures, as well as the ingenuity embedded in the designs.
Chiba Nikkatsu Technical College (December)
At our Chiba Office, we conducted CAD design experiences using drawings used in actual work. We provided a full-scale work experience opportunity using “practical drawings” rather than “textbook materials.” Students worked on practical tasks such as consistency checks comparing floor plans and frame drawings, and creating steel detail drawings.
Technology Exchange and Presentation Achievements
Presentation at Bentley Systems Regional Seminar 2025 Tokyo (November 12)
Under the theme “YII Awards Fostering Next-Generation Engineers”, we presented our company’s initiatives in nurturing young engineers. We were able to contribute to discussions aimed at the overall development of the industry. This became an opportunity to communicate our company’s approach to human resource development in an international technology exchange setting.
Digitalization and Business Efficiency
In 2025, we also worked on business efficiency through the use of digital technology.
- Introduction of BIM (Building Information Modeling) Technology
We achieved improvements in design quality and business processes. Last year, we were responsible for delivering Revit models as deliverables and quickly reflected design information from civil engineering and architectural fields into the overall plant BIM model. This facilitated smooth information sharing between different fields and contributed to improved design consistency and increased efficiency in project management. - Website Improvement and Management
With the desire to help more people learn about our company and our initiatives, we focused on improving and managing our website. We will continue to work on this and communicate our message this year as well.
Outlook for 2026
2026 will be a year of further growth for our company. To continue being chosen as a “trusted partner” by our clients, we will work wholeheartedly on improving technical capabilities, human resource development, and service quality.
Continued and Enhanced Human Resource Development
Nurturing Next-Generation Engineers
- Continuation of Educational Outreach and Internship Programs
We will continue and further enhance our educational outreach classes and internship programs. We will actively support the younger generation so they can develop an interest in plant design and thrive as future engineers. - Support for Employee Growth
Through expanding opportunities for technical training and participation in international projects, we support the skill development of each employee. We focus on nurturing engineers who are well-versed in design codes and standards from major countries around the world.
Improvement of Technical Capabilities and Innovation
Technology Development for Realizing a Sustainable Society
- Response to Next-Generation Energy Infrastructure
We will actively work on the design and renovation of power plants that are in high demand in recent years, such as biomass/biogas, geothermal power, and other renewable energies, as well as CCS, CCUS, hydrogen, and ammonia power generation. - Deepening the Utilization of Digital Technology
We will further deepen the utilization of digital tools, starting with BIM technology, pursuing improvements in design quality and business efficiency. We are also considering the use of AI and IoT technologies to provide more advanced design services.
United as One Team, Contributing to Client Value Enhancement
Our greatest strength is our many excellent engineers = human resources. In 2026 as well, united as one team, we will contribute to enhancing our clients’ value.
In projects both domestic and international, engineers who are well-versed in design codes and standards from major countries around the world will produce results that exceed our clients’ expectations.
Gratitude and Request
Last year, we received tremendous support and cooperation from many clients, partner companies, and members of the local community. We are truly grateful.
We look forward to your continued support of Commonwealth Engineers Co., Ltd. in 2026.
We sincerely ask for your continued patronage and support this year as well.
